INCOMING MATERIAL: All material received at Cesar-Scott is inspected by the quality control department in order to assure customer requirements such as part number, color, part description, cable gage AWG, UL/CSA specifications, voltage and temperature are met.
WIRE PREPARATION: Wire and cable cutting, stripping, and tinning services are offered by Cesar-Scott for a wide range of sizes of material. We have the equipment that allows us to program up to 99 different set up's which gives us flexibility when we make changes to the product. As a result we minimize set up times and adjustments to the equipment. We have the capacity to process a minimum of 5 million feet per month in one shift.
WIRE TERMINATION: Soldering and crimping is offered by Cesar-Scott. We are able to solder wire in different ways. The most common method is by soldering iron. However we can also dip solder or apply solder with our ultrasonic equipment. In addition, we have presses with up to 5 ton capacity which allow us to crimp a wide variety of terminals. Our applicators are terminal specific. This assures that each terminal will meet the customer specifications of height and pull test. We have the capacity to crimp a minimum of 1.5 million terminals per month per shift.
TYPICAL SET UP: Cesar-Scott typical set up includes reviewing production plan, customer drawing specifications, raw materials, inspection board, trained personnel, tooling and equipment. Our operations are manual, semi-automatic and automatic for low, medium and high volume applications.
QUALITY STANDARDS: Cesar-Scott has the ability to develop samples for approval, First Article Inspection Report (FAIR), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and International Material Data System (IMDS) documentation that meets our customers' specification requirements. PPAP documentation is based on automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) procedure.
TUBING: Cesar-Scott has the ability to cut, strip, mark and assemble tubing. We have the equipment to cut and stamp tubing and cable in many diameters and gages. The most common tubing applications are covering, coding, insulating, and marking. We also offer tubing products such as polyolefin, dual wall, specialty, non-shrinkable and shrinkable PVC.
